Question about 2008 Volvo S40
When my 2002 volvo v40 sits over night it hard to start is act like it the gas drains back into the tank and i have to pump the peddle to get it to crank. Do you thank it a fuel pump problem and where is the fuel pump?
U are right about the gas draining back to the tank, the electric fuel pump in the fuel tank has a check valve built into it to prevent drain back, the system should always have pressure, to check this u will need to hook up a fuel press test guage at the test valve on the top of the eng near the injectors, run the engine and shut it down, the pressure should not drop more than 5 PSI overnight.
