My 1998 Ford Expedition stalls or boggs down when I accelerate. I've gotten atleast 3 different reasons. Mass air flow, O2 sensor or intake manifold leak. I don't want to spend money on all three.

DO YOU HAVE A SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT ON? IF SO YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE IT SCANNED TO READ ANY CODES. A MAF SENSOR CAN MAKE IT RUN LIKE THAT. YOU CAN TRY TO CLEAN IT WITH CARB. SPRAY.

I own a 03 jeep wrangler TJ 4.0. At high rpms or under load (going up hills it looses power) if driving in 5th gear at 60 mph and is down shifted to 3rd gear it slows down extreamly, the engine will not go...

u only did part of the job most people change the air intake first put in a cool box or k&n type which causes some of same problems as opening the exhaust-- ur letting to much air out no back pressure and not enough air going in causing an imbalance also ur going to have problems with o2 sensors/cat sensors also mass air flow down the line

Engine does not want to accelerate when you give it gas,you have to ease the gas pedal down and it will slowly pick up speed.

Hi! You must be frustrated by now! your code is marking that the O2 sensor is bad in bank 1. Did you replace the O2 sensor that is located  before the catalytic converter?  The S10 has an O2 sensor specially made for that cat. its about 30$ That would explain for your blackened spark plugs; your pc on the car is asking for more fuel. GOOD LUCK!!

The car stalls at idle and when stopping.

Sounds to me like an O2 sensor, i had a similar problem with my Ford Probe GT. Luckily my car was a 5 speed so i just kept my foot on the gas a bit and put my car into neutral as i was slowing down or coming to a stop. If you're car is automatic I would not suggest doing neutral drops.. you'll cause more damage.
