are the inside of the battery terms dirty, corroided? do you know if motor alt is charging batt? how long did it run when you put new batt in? if it lasted about two days, its proubly not charging, also make sure nothing is being left on draining batt down, to check that, leave batt nuhooked pos side over night.
Is your car well protected with antifreeze? If not, maybe a freeze plug came out. Living in Montana, cars stay outside all winter. I always use a 50-50 solution of antifreeze. Never had coolant freeze up. Before cranking the car, check that your timing belt did not pop. Don't know how it could, sitting there 14 hours, but turn crank slowly by hand, and check that camshaft is also turning.
Sounds like the "hood release cable" pulled loose from the clip uneder the hood ...you will have to take a long nose plier reach up from under the car to where the under hood latch is and see if you can get hold of the cable / latch mechanism and release it that way . as far as the battery sounds like the battery is not holding a charge .
best idea i can think of is to be careful and you can connect the jumper cable to the main power at the starter and the ground to almost anything under there to get enough power to get the doors to pop its a pain but it beat paying the lock smith
Well last night I went under the hood, opened the fuse panel and removed the "Memory"/Audio fuse, in my car it was yellow and only pulled up, not out, it was a "20". I left it out for a few min, pushed the fuse back in and everything is fine now, just have to reset my clock.
