Coolant leaking 1995 honda passport

I just purchased a used 1995 honda passport lx After arriving home I noticed coolant leaking from under the vehicle. It appears to be leaking from a seal around a pan under the front suspension. Is this a bad sign or a minor repair. The car seems to run okay. Just wondring if I got suckered.

Your guess could be as good as mine have this vehicle check and let me know what leaking then I will be able to tell if you get suckered or NOT. try a place that does check for Free like PEP-BOYS etc. Good Luck

Have a 1995 Honda passport and is leaking coolant. Have to put it in almost every time I drive and can't go far without over heating. Coolant seems to be leaking on passenger side mostly over tire

Check the Heater hoses for a pin hole. If there is no coolant on the hoses. Check the water pump. Let the car warm up,than take a flash light look a the water pump. there is hole in the water pump that will starter leaking when the packing is bad in the pump. If you see coolant coming from the hole change out the water pump.

Drove my Honda Passport AWD 2002 about 7 miles this morning and I noticed smoke that seemed to be coming from the front wheel on driver side. What could it be?

Wouldn't you suspect a failed wheel hub
bearing assy or brake issue ?

Start taking it apart & sniffing as you go

Have to stop using it as is

Sounds like from what you describe it's a leaking break caliper. The best thing to do is get a rebuilt one. It's best to replace them in pairs. Also replace or clean the brake pads thoroughly!

Hi,
Looks like the one advises u about the coolant plug( rubber cap that stops the coolant from accessory tube ) or u have a leaking water pump is right! The age of ur might have taken its toll to those parts!
Better check on those!

1996 Honda Passport LX starter replacement

I HERE YOU BROTHER, I TYPICALLY DO ALL MY OWN WORK BUT THIS ONES FOR THE CERTIFIED MECHANICS. I ALSO LAID UNDER MY PASSPORT FOR ABOUT AN HOUR TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT. I FINALLY WENT AND GOT A QUOTE FROM MY MECHANIC WHO I DO USE FROM TIME TO TIME. $137.26 JUST LABOR , I HAD ALREADY PURCHASED THE STARTER. BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT! I PICKED IT UP AND HE TOLD ME (GET THAT THING OUTA HERE JOKINGLY) IT ENDED UP TAKING HIM AND HIS CREW 6.5 HOURS TO COMPLETE THE JOB. MY MECHANIC HAS ALWAYS HELD TRUE TO HIS WORD SO I WAS CHARGED EXACTLY WHAT I HAD BEEN QUOTED. THEY BROKE OFF BOLTS , TORE UP TOOLS , AND EVEN HAD TO USE A CUTTING TORCH. MY ADVICE: GET THE LOWEST QUOTE FROM A GOOD MECHANIC , MAKE SURE THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR QUOTE AND LET THEM HAVE AT IT. HOPE THIS HELPS AND SAVES YOU A BIG HEADACHE!GOOD LUCK.
