Re: I need to get my driver and passenger door panels off...
Every door panel is preety much the same. They have a screw by the mirror, a screw on the inside door handle. You also have to remove widow crank or power buttons. Everything is removable with a philips and flathead screwdriver. Now for the door panel itself; They have little plastic screws that you have to pry off one by one. When you use your flathead screwdriver, you must put it as close to the plastic screw as possible to avoid breaking it. Just pry up one by one and the door panel will eventually loosen up all the way. Then pull up and it will come off. To put back on: make sure all screws and holes are line up before pushing back inour the screws will break. You can tap them on with just your hand. Hope this helps! coulb be the control switch on your panel you can take the door panel off and check for loose connections and try to test for continuity. if you dont know how take it to a shop and have them diagnose the electrical. im quite sure it the switch that burnt out
your going to have to get that panel off with out opening the door.
remove screws ffrom door panel and try to pull up from bottom. put the passenger seat all the way back. be careful and take your time it can be done
if the motor doesn't work even from the switch from the driver's side the problem is from the motor. to replace it you need to take out the door panel:
take out the switch with a screwdriver by that you can get access to one of the screws that hold the panel take out the plastic caps from the lower area of the armrest, there are some more screws take out the plastic trim from top of panel begining from the end of panel, and unscrew the 2 more screws it should come out after doing all that remember to disconnect the door latch cable and speaker wiers
On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to
get it off the window ledge. Once the panel is off, you will see two or three bolts securing the mirror assembly onto the door
There will be a couple screws around the perimeter and maybe a couple around the handle. Then just get on the edge and pry out. You will here the tabs release ( this takes some effort). Then once all the tabs are released, push up on the bottom and the hooks on the top by the window will release. Then release the connectors.
take the passenger door panel off, hook any speaker to see if it works then... may be a problem inside the radio if it dont work when you try this please let me know and rate my answer please..thank you so much
you mentioned tht the quarter panel was hit before you owned it was the door hit also if you think bout it small breaks in the wire from the accident could have got weather in them over time and cause there connections to corrode or deteroiate let an automotive electrical shop give it a look
I think you are talking about the speaker grille. Which is the cover for to protect the speaker and not actually the speaker. You would have to remove the door panel to see the speaker, unless trhey are aftermarket speakers. In which case a stereo shop would have these. If it is a stock speaker. Then this is part of the door panel . Try a auto dismantler in your area.
