  1. Allow engine to cool and release pressure from system, then disconnect heater hoses from heater core tubes, and plug hoses.
  2. Working in passenger compartment, remove glove compartment assembly.
  3. Remove seven screws attaching the heater core access cover to plenum chamber.
  4. Disconnect vacuum lines, then remove the cover with the vacuum harness attached
    1. Remove heater core from vehicle, Fig. 20.
    2. Reverse procedure to install.

How do i replace/install a heater core for a 1999 limited edition jeep cherokee 4.0 liter 6cyclinder

I would make sure the core is the problem. You may have a heater control valve that cuts off flow to the core by vac. or a blend door that cuts off air flow thru the core.
You will need a shop manual to replace the core. The dash and console have to come out, along with discharging the ac.

How to replace heater core on 1990 ford ranger

Remove the glove box door. Behind the glove box there will be a big plastic panel that contains the evaporator and the heater core. The heater core will be copper. That is the one you need to remove. Do not try to disconnect the aluminum one. That is for your AC. Remove the two heater hoses on the outside of the firewall that connect to the heater core and it will slide right out.
