Is the battery new? Check the battery posts for corrosion or improper installation. Even if your meter reads proper voltage, if the terminals are improperly installed, there is not sufficient contact for current flow.
Remove both battery posts, clean, and re-install.

Manual 1994 jetta 2.0 4 cylndr . Car will not start...it will not turn...battery is still great...could it be an electrical problem? Where is a good place to start checking?

start with the fuses and the relays. some say ign or eng which is ignition or engine. if that is good, check the fusible link. if that is good, test to see if the started gets full voltage

1996 Chevy Silverado 1500 - truck doesn't act like it's getting fuel to start. Battery, starter, plugs and fuel filter are all good. Why won't it turn over?

If it doesn't turn over, that tells me the starter is bad.

However, if it is turning over but not running over time, then I would try some starter fluid in the throttle body to see if it runs in lieu of gasoline.

If it does run on starter fluid, then it may have a bad fuel pump.

Starter removal

Hello, my name is Ben. I can help you with this. CAUTION, if you have the THEFTLOCK audio system be sure to disable it before you un-hook your battery. nOW, Dis-connect the negative battery cable, set the parking brake and chock the driver's side rear wheel so the vehicle won't move once it's jacked up, jack up the front right side and place a jack stand under a solid place of the frame, dis-connect the electrical connections from the starter making a note of where they are fastened, ( it's easy to get confused when re-assembling), now unbolt the starter. If there are any shims be sure to put them back with the new starter, installation is the reverse of removal. Good luck with your repair, Ben.

1999 GMC sonoma starte installation

2.2L Engine remove protective shields as needed then remove front exhaust pipe. Remove the brace from the engine to the clutch housing, then disconnect starter wiring. 4.3L Engine 2 wheel drive just remove the right front tire and you will have access to the wiring. 4.3L Engine 4 wheel drive you must remove the differential carrier shield if equipped then remove the starter bolts and rotate the starter to get access to the wiring. Good Luck.
