No I haven't. I've only had the car a few months. THis is not the first time I've had problems with this.

My girlfriend just had the same problem. You have to replace the battery. Its located in front the left front tire behind the front bumper. It took about 3 hours to do and is quite labor intensive. You remove the left front tire then remove the screws and rivets attached to the splash guard. Then remove the battery holder and from there switch out the battery...good luck!

Engine makes squeeling noise when first started

Check the belts are still tight enough, sometimes they slacken off with use and then start to squeal, especially in cold/damp weather.

2006 taurus wont start in the cold

How old is your battery? If it is the original 2006 battery now is the time to replace it. A battery needs to be replaced after about 4 winters. Cold weather reduces the battery capacity and makes it harder to start. If you wait the car may not start at all.

Manual trans shifter frozen in cold weather 1984 toyota tercel

I would make sure 75W90 gear oil was used when the fluid was changed, 80W90 can be used but I have seen the transmission becoming very hard to shift when very cold.

Won't start

Most vehicles have problems starting when it is cold. Short of installing a block heater, your problem lies in your battery. if it is cold in your area for a few months of the year, my suggestion is to invest in a higher rated CCA battery, and a block heater.

Cold Cranking Amps is a rating used in the battery industry to define a battery's ability to start an engine in cold temperatures. The rating is the number of amps a new, fully charged battery can deliver at 0° Farenheit for 30 seconds, while maintaining a voltage of at least 7.2 volts, for a 12 volt battery. The higher the CCA rating, the greater the starting power of the battery.

This morning it was -19F here, and my new car gave me a fit starting, so you are not alone. Replace the battery, and pay a little higher premium for CCAs and you should be fine.
Good Luck.
