Question about 2002 Suzuki Aerio

Blowing Relay Swtiches - Why?

I continue at least once a year to blow a relay swtich Denso 156700 - 2480 12V.

The engine is a small Suzuki car engine that is the standard engine in an Arctic Cat 660 4-stroke snowmachine.

It is the relay for the engine primer/ignition which obviously is critical. I don't want to be stranded 40 miles into the bush someday. What would cause the relay to go each year?

Thank you!!!!!!

The relays are getting moisture,if ya get stranded pull the relay, warm it up, under your armpit for a minute, and it should start.find a way to keep moisture out of the relay box.

98 grand cherokee asd relay blowing fuse

The fuse it doing it's job, you have a short ( Wire that is connected to a ground, that draws too much power )

If you have an electrical schematic ( Repair manual ) find out which wires are connected to that fuse and check them for any chaffing, cuts, unnesassary twists, or corrosion.

If you have a ohm-meter, isolate the system ( by disconnecting the fuse, and other connections. Then check for any resistance on wires that should not be connected ( because you disconnected them ) by having one Lead on the wire's connector and the other meter-lead on your car's frame. A good wire will not have continuity if it is isolated.

Heated seats inopertive however light comes on the swtiches

The relay operates if the light comes on so the heated grids are burnt out. They do not last more than 6 to 8 years at the most which is common on most US built cars & trucks

Driving after about 2 minutes from engine starting time, engine starves for petrol. Blowing into hose that feeds fuel into the carby from the fuel pump, (which is a manual pump) fixes the problem. I have...

Sounds like the fuel pump failing, although it could be a lose relay on the fuse box normaly its a small black one, bosch small square box check the fuse box and relays make sure they are all down tight.

a relay is small electro magnet inside sometimes they stick or lose contact and cause intermitent faluts. worth a look wont cost you anything.

My mdx 2002 acura fan blows constantly and kills my battery.

You most likely have a sticking fan control relay.
Remove the relay to confirm fan stops.

MY ac is broke :`(

If it's blowing air, even warm air, it's not the relay. Probably needs to be charged,(more freon in it)
Have the system checked, could also be a blend door under the dashboard not working, or the compressor. Without testing the system, it's hard to say what it is.

I am still having the problem with my car fan blowing when the car is off for more than an hour. it blows warm air on full blast. can hear outside of car. when put key in and turn ignition it stops.

There is a small relay unit which turns off the fan once it cools the engine. Have the relay unit replaced, also check the fuse if fuse is defective fan may run longer. than normal.

1990 toyota pickup 3.0 v6,engine will not start, keep blowing efi fuse

You need to look for a short in the engine harness, anywhere that the harness rubs on engine componets etc. In the past 30 years of car work this is where the problem most often occurs.

1989 toyota corrola hatch, headlights not working

Hi,

The headlights just might be a fuse/relay problem, switch or wiring. It would be needed to check for the presence of +12VDC from the fuse, headlight switch, relay, 3 terminal connector. Of course the bulbs themselves must be checked.

Taillight gone on braking indicates loose ground on the rearlight assembly. A temporary workaround is to provide another grounding screwed to the body of the car.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
