You are going to have to take the dash apart. You probably have a short in the connector where it comes into the gauge cluster

The blower on my 2000 Olds Alero isnt working

You would need to know if the blower motor is running. If it is not, you would need to know if it is getting power and ground.
If it is running, it could be a blend door problem under the dash.

I just replaced the starter in my 2000 olds alero and now it wont start it keep flashing securty....it thinks it is benig stolen....how can I fix this

Most likely you replaced the starter because it wouldn't crank over. If this is correct and the security light was flashing before replacing the starter, then most likely you have a problem with the pass-lock system. If your ignition cylinder is located in the dashboard, you will need to remove it and replace the passlock housing.

Need clear oil and tire codes lights on the dash are on

1st you need to look on the drivers side , end of dash between door there is a fuse box,, there should be a red reset button inside, with the key on every time you push it first the tire light will flash, the next time you push it the change oil light will flash, so you keep pushing it to what you want to reset and hold it in , you will hear several beeps,,, it will be reset

My dash light doesnt come on anymore, how do i fix

They probably took the bulb out or it is burnt out. I would check the bulb. The dash light is supposed to light every time the car is started. It is called a bulb check.

Reset low tire indicator on a 2001 olds alero

Open the drivers side door, you need to remove a panel door that will allow you to access the fuse box.
Locate the the red button to the left side and press it a couple of times until you see your tire light flash, after it starts to flash hold it in for a couple of seconds and you will hear a chime 4 times and your light will be reset.
You need to have your key turned on but not running to be able to do this.
Thank you for using fixya

Turn signals flash very rapidly. Front lights due not flas while rear ones do. Suspect a fuse. Please help.

If your turn signals flash rapidly that means that there is a bulb out. you said the front do not flash replace the bulb. If that did not fix it then you have a wiring problem that needs to be looked at.

Good Luck

I have a 2000 olds alero, how do i reset the change moil light

If you mean the change oil soon light............ Open the fuse panel; on the side of the dash by drivers door. turn on key but not far enough to start car.
Press the red reset button in the fuse panel until the oil light flashes , release the button and then press it again.
It has been a while since I have done this on an alero , so if you have your owners manual , it might be a good idea to read the instructions in there incase i have it wrong. By the way , the low tire pressure light works the same way.

All dash light and gauges go out. Car is 2000 Olds Alero.

Had similar problem with wifes alero, Turned out to be the alternator. Seems that the car freaks out when not enought power is supplied. Take to autostore and have them test it. Free test, $130 part. Easy to install with basic socket set.

1999 OLDS ALERO FLASHER

In Olds Alero the flasher is intergrated into the hazard light button. It is all one assembly in the dash. It is in the $40 dollar range, but that is the only way to fix the flashers is to replace assembly. You must remove the plastic housing from around the dash cluster to reach. It is located to the right of the dash cluster. If you are good with your hands you will be able to get it out without taking out the cluster. Be careful, it is held in place with plastic snaps. Part number is on the assembly and it is GM exclusive.
