Re: 2002 ford taures
Don't pull the fuse. Pull the pin the door pushes on and pull the wires off. Tape them up and then tie a string to the and push them back ointo the frame so you can retrieve later. If you find this helpful, please post as such or as fixya since this is all you are trying todo. TY

it sounds like the cable from the handle to the top latch is broke. you will have to take off the inside door panel to reach the latch itself at the top front corner of the door and pull the leaver part that the cable attaches to. then buy a new door handle, the cable came with the last one i got
there is no manual switch for this light, aside from removing the bulb.
if the light is staying illuminated, you likely have a problem with one of your door switches. are you experiencing any warning chimes like an open door? if so, look towards the drivers door. if not, look towards the passenger side. good luck!
sounds like one of the the connectshon rods have come of or the plastic clip has brock you need to take door trim off to have a look you shuld be able to open the door by putting a wire coat hanger with a hook on between the door and window and try to hook the catch by the lock hope this helps
On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to
get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel
and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and
disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
open the trunk remove the scuff plate that is located on the back part of the trunk closest to you. then pull the carpet back on the side that you are trying to get to and remove the three or four nuts holding the light assembley in. pull the assembley away from the body then disconnect the bulbs from the assembley. thay should just turn and come out socket and all.
The CD problem will require that the deck be pulled and sent out for repair, there is nothing you the end user can do to fix it, call the dealer for a Ford electronics repair facility, don't go through the dealer they will send it out and then double the repair invoice to you, send it yourself.
The door ajar light is caused by a small switch that is attached to the door latch inside the door, they stick and cause the light to stay on, most likely the driver door is the problem, but it can be either door, you must pull the door panel to get at the switch, they are a bear to get in and out.
