1991 buick park avenue won't start in cold

It starts just fine when its warmer out but will not start in the cold but rolls over

If its been a while sense the last tune up i would start there. if that is not an issue then you may have to chk. coil maybe weak, cold weather brings out all weakness on mechcanical as well as electrical. now if you find all of what i said is not an issue than it could be fuel, fuel pump could be on its way out. the only sure way to know is to do a fuel pressure test, to make sure it has the correct P.S.I. for your car. your local auto parts store may do this for you, if not maybe a local michanic. either one will know the correct pressure. good luck.

Take your starting modulator in for testing. Make sure a pat test is performed. Pat test are to see if bouncing down the road is causing problems.

Starter clicks butengine won't turn over on 99 Buick Park Avenue. Battery is fine and starter solonoid is clicking but not engageing and engine not rolling over?


sounds like a bad starter motor, autozone will test it free out of car.
it is a royal pain to get the starter out so pay close attention so it will be easier going back in.

Buick park avenue engine start problem


Try replacing the coolant control temp sensor, the one to the computer (usually it will have two wires), not the sensor to the temp light or gauge (usually has only one wire).
