I have a 1990 v6 twin turbo Mitsubishi 3000gt. It started intermittently cutting out and now won't start. I have fuel pressure, injector pulse but no spark. There is no signal to the coil packs.

Problem could be in the crank angle sensor or power transistor to the coil pack.

Check for fuses/power/ground to the engine computer (or injector drive computer) whatever the case is.

Spark, fuel pump, and starter all are independant of the fuel injection computer.

Either the computer itself has gone bad, or it is not receiving power or ground, or wiring to the injectors might be bad...

SOURCE: car has no spark or injector pulse(new ecm, crank sensor)

Check the fuse for the injectors, some vehicles have the injectors and coil running on the same circut, at the same time check the fuse for the ignition.

re-seat and clean all plug wires and clean coil post.. i found on my 97 that i had some corroded leads and dirty coil post. the evap could just mean the gas cap isnt on securely. Change "fuel filter" and purchase a can of "Sea Foam" @ Autozone.. pour in 1/2 can to half tank of gas and drive for 30 minutes and let it clean the injectors...if all this fails to correct the problem.. then it might just be the ICM.

The fuel pressure has to to 35 to 45 psi. And no low fuel pressure will not cause no injector pulse. The veicle sounds more like a idle air control problem why? because as you stated it runs rough when it does start.Get it to start sysle the key you will hear the fuel pump go on cycle it three times then start it up. when the vehicle warms up take the idle air valve out and clean it with carburator cleaner or even brake cleaner you may even want to do the throttle body itself this should help with the hard start up and rough running

1990 cutlass ciera 3.3injectors are not pulsing injectors ohm out 11.8-12 40lb of fuel pressure wiring to injectors are hot at a loss can the M.A.F.cause a no start it does start with starting fluid

MAF is probably not the problem - sounds like the engine is not getting the fuel it needs to start and either your injectors are fouled or the pressure regulator is stuck - that might cause the hot wires. The fuel pressure seems a bit low, but it should momentarily drop when trying to start the engine.

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? The basics if it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also, check fuel injector pulse.
Crank the starter intermittently so it doesn't overheat. You need spark--fuel--compression, proper amounts at proper time, where applicable, or it won't start.

My 1990 Mitsubishi Montero Sport will crank but will not start. I tried to use starting fluid through the air filter shaft but the car still won't start. The car has been stalling before when I am idle and...

Given the year of the Montero I expect the ECU has failed or the component within the distributor which tells the ECU when to send a spark. Check for spark or fuel injector pulse. To check fuel injector pulse rent NOID lights from auto parts store. If no pulse I expect the Distributor if no fuel I expect the ECU

1990 cutlass ciera w/3300 v6, won't start, fuel presure is 45psi, has good spark, has new crank sensor. still won't start, what next.

If it has spark, the crank sensor is working. If the fuel pressure is 45psi, that's good.

Are the injectors pulsing controlled by the computer?

No Fuel??? Not starting.

You have fuel flow but the question now is are the injectors pulsing. Given the year of the truck my gut says your ECU, Engine Control Unit, has failed. Mitsubishi had issues with the capacitors in their early 90's cars, trucks SUVs. I have been thru this with two monteros and one 3000GT, very common. To check your injectors rent a set of NOID lites from Autozone our such. Remove an injector plug and itstall a noid light. Turn the engine over, if no flash, no pulse. Remove the ECU and carefully open it up. Look for the capacitors, there should be 3, look under the capacitors on the board; if there is a grease like substance, often time it has a green hew to it, then the capacitor(s) have failed. It may be possible to replace the capacitors or simply purchase a rebuilt ECU. Be ceratin the MD number matches on the new unit.
Please let me know your results and if this had assisted you.
Thanks, Tom

Engine not starting turns over good, clean out gas tank and replace fuel filter and blew out the lines and have power to the plugs

Do you have pulse to the fuel injectors? The besy way to test is with a set of NOID lites; these can be rented at many places like AutoZone for little or no cost. Unplug a fuel injector and plug in a noid light; if there is no flash you know you have minimized your search. My gut feel is your trucks ECU (Engine Control Unit) these units from early 90's Mitsubishi have big isses with the capacitors leaking (a matter of when not if). I fully expect you'll need to replace the ECU (the NOID lites will confirm this) when changing the ECU you want to identify it by the MD number on it, this it what you'll need to order a new one. I have had two Montero's and now my son's 3000GT all of whichhad their ECU's fail.
This issue can effect either spark or injector pulse.

My mitsubishi 3000gt 1991 starts then it turns of in 20 sec

There are so many things that could cause this, my answer is a guess without being able to see the car. Is your check engine light on? If yes, get someone to analyze the trouble codes and go from there. Check your fuel pump pressure. Check for restricted fuel lines, dents, kinks, etc. Could be a bad ignition module that dies as soon as soon as it gets a bit warm. Check for spark. Use a noid light to check injector pulse. Possibly computer. The capacitors leak and erode the circuit board. (AvPro in Florida is excellent at rebuilding them.) Hope this helps.

Engine shuts off

I have a 1991 Dodge Stealth RT Twin Turbo and had this exact same problem, it started off as a slight flutter, like i was loosing fuel pressure, then it soon after began completely shutting off like yours.. turns out I fixed it by replacing all 3 ignition coils. and now it runs like a charm.... give that a try. i got mine at auto-zone for around 60 dollars a piece, and there are 3 total.

1990 montero no start. No power to open injectors, good fuel pump

Check the injector pulses with an osciliscope. If you arent getting a pulse check the ecu. I have cooked 2 of them. One killed my ignition but had good fuel. the second time it wouldnt open the injectors but had good spark. A quick check is to take the ecu out and take the cover off. then look for burnt electrical components.
