Bank 2 o2 sensor 1 is on the back side of the engine. Simply follow the exhaust manifold nearest the firewall the first o2 is bank 2 o2 1 the next o2 will be bank 2 o2 2. The o2 you see by the radiator is bank 1 o2 1.
Hi hope I can help. P0171 mean bank 1 is to lean P0174 means bank 2 is lean You did not state what engine you have but by your codes you must have the V6 4.0. These codes refer to a fuel issue. bank 1 and bank two represent each of your manifolds. being you have a V6 you have 2 manifolds. Each of your manifold have an O2 sensor in it. That's what is giving the lean reading. This does not mean that you have bad O2 sensors. They are just doing there job. So you should check your fuel pressure with a gauge and make sure your pressure is correct. It seams as your fuel pump maybe weak. Hope this helps. Please leave feed back Thank you urnuts73@ FixYa
P1151 means a lean bank 2 O2 sensor
P1152 Means a rich bank 2 O2 sensor
P1309 Means miss firedetected
I would check your fuel injector for fouling
When they foul the will develop a drip
Causing a fuel fluctuation that will have O2 sensors reporting rich and lean voltage changes
This causes the pcm to adjust injector pulses making them shorter and longer. causing more fuel or less fuel.
From this condition you may see plug fouling.
Also check for leaking or faulty fuel pressure regulator or restricted return line.
Most of the time it wont be a bad O2 sensor the O2 sensor is just doing its job.
You also have already changed the plugs and Map so there already out of the way.
If this helps please give me some feed back
Hope this works for you FixYa
Yes the 98 ranger has 3 02 sensors, they are located in the exhaust system under vehicle,2 of them
are in front of the cataletic converter and 1 behind it.I replaced mine ,reset the codes and the check
engine light still comes on?
