2005 town & country electric door locks quit working

My door locks will work for awhile and then quit. The first time I checked the fuse which was still good but, when I put it back in, the locks started working again. The fuse I pulled was the IOD or IOT or something like that. Any Guesses?

My locks stopped functioning also, I have yet to get into the fuse box. Which fuse should I check?

I also have a 2005 Chrysler Mini van with the electric door lock problem. I also have removed the relay and fuse and reseated them which corrected the problem for a few days. Then back to no working again. Unfortunately, I don't remember the fuse and relay numbers so I can just replace them. (That fuse box diagram leaves much to be desired). Can anyone tell me exactly what fuse and relay number I should buy ?

    Thanks

    Jack

The door locks are controlled by the body computer and one of the switches may be bad. When you pull the fuse you are clearing the computer codes and the locks work fine until that switch acts up. once the computer sets a code for a shorted or stuck switch all switch inputs are ignored until you pull the fuse and reset everything. Could also be a bad wire to the switch or a bad computer.

THERE IS A SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR YOUR BODY CONTROL MODULE..YOUR LOCAL DEALER IS, AS FAR AS I KNOW THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN DO THIS..TAKES ABOUT AN HOUR TO DO..REMOVING THE FUSE IS A TEMPORARY FIX..HAVE DONE MANY OF THESE UPDATES MYSELF..IT WILL CURE YOUR PROBLEM..TALK TO YOUR DEALER

The electric door locks quit working on an 05 T&C. is there something that I can do without going to the dealer? I pulled ioc fuse several times.it only works for a short time after that

I don't know if this will help but the electric door lock (driver-side, rear, sliding door) of our '05 T&C stopped working and the mechanic (was shopped for minor wreck damage) indicated that the lock actuator was at fault and he had none in stock. It did not get replaced and, of course, still is not working - electrically.

Power door locks don't work with remote or manul

Look for fuse or relay problem. A bad (shorted) door lock switch can also cause trouble. Need to dig in and start looking at each component one at a time.

good luck
