Re: Car cuts off every 4 to 5 days
Pull off your IAC motor (Idle Air Control) and give it & the port that it comes out of a good cleaning with throttle body cleaner, make sure connections are clean, and re-install & try it. It will be located on the front part of the throttle body, on the side. If that cures it, and it re-occurs in time, replace it.

This is a model which should get a good attention on all of its parts. You should have a detailed idea on your car's parts, its condition, workability, etc.
So firstly try to figure out any kind of leakages from crank parts, gear/clutch assembly. This is easy to find when the car is parked for long time.
Then look out for any broken pipes, tubes, seals, cracks.
Any oil leakage into combustion chamber, plugs, etc.
Check plugs by touching the car body while cranking!!
Then check the distributor cables and the distributor.
I think this all about your Power lines, fuel pumps.
So please try and rate it!!!
Is the security warning light staying on when it fails to crank ? If so, it could be the chip in your key or the sensor in the lock cylinder. It could also be the neutral safety switch, or the starter. Someone would need to check the starter to see if it is getting power when the key is in the start position.
If the motor gets hot and cuts off and will not start for a period of time the problem would be the crank sensor. The sudden cut off and starting right back up can be due to dirty battery cable connections. Remove them from battery and clean all three of them with a wire brush and replace both bolts.
I think you need to check your power wires to your radio. This is a common mistake. There are several power wires to deal with. One wire stays hot to keep the clock and radio presets working. The second is Hot when the key is turned on. The third is hot when you turn on your lights for instrument lighting. If you connected this wire for your power source, You would have this problem you are describing. If it's wired correctly, Check the ground wire to the radio. Hope this helps.
Take both cables of the battery and clean them with a wire brush, reinstall them making sure those little 5/16 hex bolts are nice and tight in the battery. Trace the battery ground cable back to where it bolts to the engine block, make sure it is very clean and tight. There should be a body ground somewhere, this is a conductor between the engine block and the metal body part of the engine compartment- clean and tight as well. If you can't find the body ground, make one. Now get on your hands and knees and inspect behind both front kick panels and under the dashboard valence, inside the car. You are looking for single or clusters of brown or black wires that are bolted to the body inside the car. Clean and tight for these as well. I promise, this is where your problem lies, but I'm betting on loose battery terminals right now.
sound like you O2 sensor is foulded up sneding a bad signalto your computor making it load up on the gas & air flows. Try putting some SEAFOAM in to your gas tank to help clean your O2-sensor up. You and pick this up a Wal-Mart & and autoparts store.
