Question about 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 Club Cab
I just took my truck into Purrfect auto where i had my fuel pump replace with a new one. i dint have the tools to do it myself. well now my truck runs great but my gas gauge istn working right. it wont go all the way to full and it moves around a little bit when i moved forward, stop, or turn. its like it is too sensitive. is it possible that it was replaced with the wron size fuel pump or is something else? the mechanics at the shop said it was probabbly the cluster panel but i dont beleive a word those guys said, i think they just want to charge me to do every little thing to rip me off. if the gauge was replace with a new one shouldn't it work properly?
WHEN THEY PUT THE GAS SENDING UNIT BACK IN THE TANK THEY DID NOT ATTACH IT RIGHT.. ONLY WAY TO FIX IS TO DROP TANK AND RE DO..
FIGURE HOW MANY MILES YOU CAN GO ON A TANK AND B4 YOU GET THERE FILL UP...

Hi there... It all depends on what they replaced. If they replaced just the pump they may have damaged the variable resistor that sends the signal to your gauge or bent the float rod while installing the assembly back in your tank. if they replaced the whole assembly ( pump and float assembly) it could be the wrong one for your vehicle. Hope this helps you out
