The car will not start say's Service Battery Charging System on the monitor
Ucadam... I'm having the same problem with mine. Makes 1 click but won't turn over. I tested the battery and its reading 12.4 v and when it does start the battery is reading 14v so I know it's not a battery or immobiliser issue... Did you end up finding out exactly what the issue was?

Turn the key-Makes 1 click engin light is the first light displayed. Problem is intermittent GM dealer claims can't find problem if it isn't happening when they have the vehicle.

O you mean the engine doesn't crank over or it does crank over but won't fire up?

Yes, full charge, all guages and lights work inside & out, When I turn the key all the lights go out and I hear a click..
Sounds like the battery cable is defective or corroded.

Sounds like there is an issue either with the starter, if its just clicking... or with the alternator. I would have the alternator tested first. And if it will start sometimes but not others...then it's most likely the starter on the way out.

Check the battery terminals for cleanlyness and tightness.
Check the voltage when stopped, it should be 12 volts.
Check the voltage with the motor running, it should be 14 volts. If not the alternator is not charging.
If the battery voltage is low then it may need replacing.

this is a common problem with the passlock system im sure like everyone else you will have to get a new ignition cylinder/switch
try locking your car with the key and unlocking it with the key, leave it for 30 second or so between the locking and unlocking , the car thinks some one has tampered with it
