Heater fan only works on high

this sounds like you need the resistor that allows the blower motor to operate on the different speeds. if you follow the wires from the blower motor back they lead to the resistor that needs replacing. this is a common problem and are designed to only operate on high if the resistors go bad.

The resister puts current to the motor when you change

speeds you no the resister is bad if you put current direct to

I have a 1999 camry. The fan only works on high. On high it works well so it's not a motor issue. I've checked the fuses and they are good. Any thoughts?

It sounds like the resistor block for your heater/AC fan has gone bad. Here's a link to a few I found on line for the 1999 camry to give you an idea of the cost. When the resistor block goes bad the motor defaults to its highest setting.

A local autoparts store like autozone should also carry this part. They will also probably be able to give you some advice about how to install it.

I hope this helps you out.

you need to replace the blower motor resistor and it should be located behind glove box in evaporator box. about 1.5" wide and 3' long in the front.

I have a 2000 Toyota Camry and the interior fan works on high only. What could be the problem?

There is a blower resister module that controls the speeds,it is located near the blower motor and mounts on the blower case.It actually mounts on the blower case, but goes inside the case to keep it cool, the blower motor is the reason the resister has gone out,it is drawing too many amps, even though it might be blowing good, and sounding good,it is the cause,so replace it also,or you will be replacing the blower motor resister again,if this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

Heater works only on high speed on a 1999 toyota camry CE 4 cyl. Please advise what may be the problem.

I just fixed this problem on my 99 Camry. The fan only worked on high. It was the resistor. Bought it for $29.99. It is under the dash on the passenger side. Just above where the passengers left foot would be. You DO NOT need to take out the glove box. The resistor is located just above where the carpet ends. It is held in place by a plug with about 6 wires. It has two phillips head screws. Get a short elbowed phillips head and switch it out.

Sounds like the blower motor resistor has gone bad. It is located near the blower motor it's self. Pull the glove box down and you should be able to see it.

2001 Camry, air does not distribute/circulate if on turned on (this is for AC and normal cool/heat as well, does not matter what the temperature is). There are four low/high settings to blast the air to...

there are four settings on most blower motors. two of yours are prolly bad. replace the blower motor. if that dosnt do the job then it is more than likely an electrical issue and you will need to take it to a shop to have them diagnoss it.
