Question about 2001 Honda Accord

Honda Accord 2001 DX ( stops frequently).

Last week i was driving in the Highway and my car stops suddenly, but i was able to start it after 10 to 15 minutes. It happened to me 3 times last week and i still don't know what cause that. My mechanic was not able to fix it. He said he check the sensors and still didn't work. I hope i can receive some suggestions regarding my problem.

When driving car after warmed up, starting from stopped position, car bogs down when increasing load on the engine to around 3000rpm. Car hesitates and bucks. When load is decreased runs OK.
Three codes on computer keep coming back.
336 Crank shaft sensor
1361 TDC Sensor
1381 Cylinder Position Sensor Intermittent Interruption
Mechanic pulling hair out.
Any suggestions??

I have to agree with shotta1 but before changing it i would start the car with a long screw driver i would gently tap on it normally if its bad you should see the engine cut out or most of time it would do it thanks pierre

There is a recall for the starter switch. The contacts become worn, and the car can stall randomly

Vehicle needs a CRANK SENSOR. A bad crank sensor will trigger all those codes mention above. Good Luck and Thanks for using FIX YA

To prove my solution when this vehicle stops and will NOT start, check for spark, THERE SHOULD BE NO SPARK AT PLUGS. If there is NO spark the only factor that affects spark is the vehicle CRANK sensor. This provides reference for spark to vehicle.

Honda accord ex 2001 check engine light suddenly came on, car started to idle roughly

If it's running rough, chances are that it's misfiring. If the Check Engine light is flashing/blinking, it is definitely misfiring.
If that's the case, drive it as little as possible... Or straight to the mechanic because the more you drive it while it's misfiring, the higher the chance is of you ruining your catalytic converter.

Being a 2001 the first thing to do is get the car plugged into a diagnostic scanner as it will show any logged errors to help diagnose. it's not an easy one to diagnose remotely as there are so many possible causes.

Sounds like you have a cv joint problem, or the front brake pads are worn down to metal and rubbing against the rotor, also could be the wheel bearing. Better have it checked.

91 Accord Car will initially start then when driving it will die sometimes starts right away sometimes 10 or 20 minutes later but has gotten more frequent about dying and taking longer to start

I have a 1991 honda accord dx that had the same problem. while driving it would just completely shut down. after about 5 minutes it start and run for a while then shut down again getting more frequently. There was a recall on the ignition control module (ignitor) which is in the distributor. call your local honda dealer with your vin # and will tell you if yours was replaced. If not I bought one from parts store for $60 or you could take a chance and buy one from a junk yard. I bought the whole distributor for $20 as a back up.

Honda Accord 2001 DX ( stops frequently).

It's sounds like the fuel filter is dirty! And the reason that it starts after a couple of min. is because the pressure of the fuel stops moving through the filter.Replace it. It's cheap and easy!
