Antifreeze on the inside of car on driver side floor mat left car running and when I came back windows was fogged

antifreeze/water mix leaking in defroster/ "heater coil, fog may vapor from that, or reduced heat on window. it's a job for radiator pro. Once I tried radiator leak sealant which clogged my water pump and put more holes in the system. Another car another time responded well to the treatment but only briefly delayed the inevitable repair

Thermostat, put a new one in and have heat, go 15 miles up the road and it cools off. shut car off for 10 min. and it is hot again but windows are fogging up..

Does the engine reach normal operating temp? Do you live in an extremely cold region? Are the heater hoses hot? Also, there could be a problem with temp door, under the dash.

Windows fog up

does this happen when snow is sucked into the vents or does it happen all the time. If it happens all the time it could be a leaking heater core. if the windsheld has a film on it and smells sweet like anti freeze you have a leak in the heating system

Windows fog up

Heated air in large quantities is what gets rid of window fog. Make sure you're actually getting hot air out of the dashboard vents, and if not, follow that problem.

Windows fog up

Could be either a plugged vent tube in the heater box [ it's on the lower outside of the firewall ] letting the water puddle and then evaporate when heated, or a leaking heater core. If it's the heater core, you will smell coolant inside the car and may have a wet area on the passenger's side floor.

Heater immediately fogs all windows and there is a sweet odor in the cab of 2003 Buick Rendezvous, defroster works fine, but will not clear the windows after heat is put on

Sounds like a possible heater core failure(hole in it) the smell indicates to me the coolant(anti-freeze) is leaking into the passenger compartment.
Check the carpet in front of the front passenger seat for moisture, this would confirm heater core leak.
Good luck !

No heat,engine normal

the valve that allows the hot water into the heater core is not opening. most likely electronic issue. also check all vacuum and electric lines.
