MITSUBISHI 2001 ECLIPSE STARTING PROBLEM

I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipe, when I attempt to start the car when it hs cooldown it will automatically die on me. The only was the vehicle will start is if I keep my feet on the gas and the car warms up. I went to the dealership and they told that it might be the IAC. I was told by dealers that they took it apart and cleaned but it is doing the same thing. Now theyare tellingit is both the IAC and the MAF. I was wondering if any one else had this problem? If so, What they yo do to solve it.

could need a valve job and the lifters readjusted or it coul;d be that it needs an oil change as the oil is thin when you do change it use 20/50 as i do it last longer before oil breakdown and lubricates better

2001 mitsubishi eclipse. Automatic transmission

Transmission may be low on transmission fluid or the transmission fluid pump failed. If it's electrical, you can still get it in to gear, but would not shift gears. Good luck and keep me posted, check transmission fluid level and have the transmission line pressure tested. Before that check all your fuses.

Im having trouble starting my 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder

Josh, take the battery to Sears or a large auto parts store and have them test the condition. They do it for free. A battery will play the radio or run the lights with no trouble. It takes alot of amp power to turn the starter over. After you get it started check the volts across the battery. It should be just over 12 and less than 14 volts. If its not the alternator is not chargeing your battery, replace it.
I hope this helps you and your Mitsu.
