Where is the voltage regulator located on a 1991 D150 dodge truck

The voltage regulator is built directly inside the alternator case. If the regulator fails, you need to replace the alternator.

The fuel sender is in the fuel tank, whether it is gas or diesel. Sorry for the bad news.

When you replaced the alternator, did you also replace the voltage regulator? I have read that on this truck, the voltage regulator is internal to the ECU and is located on the firewall near the ignition coil. You may be able to install a separate, dedicated voltage regulator available at your local auto parts store. Please note that you may have to rewire from the ECU connector to the stand-alone voltage regulator. Good luck.

Yes it is in the Computor or built in the Alternator you can look at the back of the Alt if you see a heat sump then it is in the alt Johnny

Replace the regulator if you know for sure the alternator is good. Even new ones go bad or bad from the store.

For 1991 Dodge Truck D150 1/2 ton P/U 2WD 5.2L FI 8cyl the Fuel Filter is located: Under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, driver side of transmission, mounted on frame rail in fuel line.

The fuel filter is not IN the fuel tank. The Fuel PUMP is IN the fuel tank. The Filter is mounted to the underneath of the truck bed NEXT to the Fuel tank. Its alittle smaller than a soda can with two fuel hoses connected to it.
