The front wheel bearings are contained in the front hub assemblies. The front driveshafts will have to be removed to remove the front hub assemblies. This is a fairly difficult job without the right tools. If you dont feel comfortable in have to take alot of your truck apart, youmay want to have a professional look at it for you. If you do decide to take them out, they are held on by 4 bolts that go into the front knuckle.

Richard, If camber noticeably out and tires are squealing, you will need to take in and have it checked out and aligned at a good shop.

Abs light come on and 4wd light flashes

check your front wheel bearings by jacking up the front end of your vehicle and trying to wiggle the tire at the top and bottom of the tire. If the tire seems to be jiggling a little bit at the hub; not the suspension or steering, your wheel bearing needs to be replaced. If it gets really bad you can actually see the wheel inverted or the top of the tire leaning towards the inside from the front of the vehicle.

when your wheel bearings go the sensor in the bearing goes off and the abs light comes on.

Good Luck

Both rear wheels seem to wear out very rapidly, hydroplanes even in slight water or ice. Is there bushings that may need replaced?

Bearings maybe are worn or you just need to get your rear tires balanced or a 4 wheel alignment cheaper than wheel bearings

I need neww front wheel bearings, but it seems I can't get just the bearings without the hub...help i need part numbers

It looks like the wheel bearing is a bolt in style. In this case your only going to be able to find the hub and bearing sold as an assembly. Which in my opinion is ideal, makes the job much easier. Press in bearings require removing the knuckle and using a press to remove and install. Napa has the assembly for about $75. Good luck.

2004 Pontaic Bonneville humming noise wheel bearing?

I had a similar problem, when turning to the right or on a right curve, the noise would go away. After some research I found it was the left wheel bearing assembly. I replaced it and the problem is gone. Therefore, check the wheel bearing assembly. You may have to replace it.

I Think I have a front wheel bearing problem

Check wheel bering for play if there is no play , it doesn't mean that bearing is NOT bad its can still be dry and would be making that grinding sound you described Also check axle and see if boot is broken. That may be your problem also make sure that rotors are not gouged/scraped up and pads are good.Contact if you need more help and thanks for using FIX YA

Replacing front wheel bearings on a 1999 honda accord

there is a hub and a bearing assembly...usually you need to press the bearings into that hub...need a press to push out the old and press in the new...i replaced mine last year by going to the junkyard and taking out the hub and bearing assembly and just putting the whole thing into my car...much simpler..plus you learn how it goes together by taking it out in the boneyard..no press needed...plus if its genuine honda parts from a honda..(you can match the markings) its likely to be a very good part for a long time. Being used isn't always a bad thing as far as honda parts are concerned. This is from my own experience hope this helps you.

Wheel Bearing

Yes, it's time for wheel bearing replacement. It seems a little premature to me though.
