Pull down the glove box. The blower motor is right behind the glove box.

High rev at cold (winter cold!) idle

Your toyota technician should know what a "cold starting solenoid" is. It is the little thing that works your throttle until the motor warms up and something else takes over. I'd suggest going to another technician.

Could you please tell me what size snow tire I need for a 2005 Toyota Corolla CE.

175/65 r14 for sure

I personnaly believe in winter tire benefits in regard to the weather we have during winter in Canada.
On top of it, the Quebec provincy law since last year make it mandatory between december 15th up to somewhere in march.
Hope it will help

Heater/ blower on 1999 mitsubishi galant 2.0gls

Most likely the resistors are stuffed.
Top speed the electricity goes straight to the fan motor.
The other settings go via a resistor to slow the speed, hence the 3 speeds. So the resistor feed is main suspect

2005 Kia Sorento only blows hot and cold air on high. Is it a blower motor resistor and if it is where is it located?

If the blower moter only works on hi speed it is the blower motor resistor that is bad. The blower motor resistor is located under the passenger side of the dash next to the blower motor. It is not necessary to remove the blower motor to change the resistor.
