Question about 2004 Dodge Ram 2500
I replaced the engine in my customers truck and now it will not crank. All i did was just swap the engine out.Used the wiring harness that was already on the motor. Both engines ran prior to removal.Once installed the only way it will crank is if i turn the switch key on and off real fast for 4 times. Then on the cluster where the milage is it will read done then the engine will run for 3 seconds and go dead.Repeat the procedure and it will run again.
Does anyone have any clues?
Did you use the existing ecm or the one that came on the new motor. probably need to program the wcm. transfer secret key also. sounds like the problem to me. if the vin number in the ecm/pcm/wcm dont match the truck wont stay running
