My 1994 lexus ls 400 dash board light is out and can't see anything at all. what is the name of the part that needs to be replaced?

    The battery was put in and the post were crossed now it won't go in gear and all interior lights are out

Try rotating the ignition switch slightly after you turn it to on and see if the lights come on...had the same problem and changed the switch fixed the problem...

Are there any warning lights on in the dash, may a security warning light? If so you will need to reset the security system, refer to the owners manual or callthe local Lexus dealer for instructions.

My dash board flickers off and on and eventually stays off for a while and then it flickers on and off again. I was told the dash is going out, but does this have to do anything with the gas needle not...
It will cost you $1400 for dealer to fix it.
The problem is on your dash. You need take out the dash. and change 3 capacitors on your dash board. If you are handyman, you will spend about 1 hour to fix it.

94 lexus cluster troubleshooting cluster flicklers on and off all gauges go up and down when this is happening
You need to replace 3 capacitors on the boards behind the dash. The capacitors on yours are now faulty, the problem will just get worse. Check lexls.com or some other lexus websites and it will describe how to remove the dash to get at the boards. C142, C147 and C212 are the ones that need to be replaced. Cost me bout $50 with parts and labor at an electronic repair shop.

you have a faulty power wire running to your dash light....if you have anyone (or you yourself) are skilled with mechanics, its a simple fix once you disassemble the dash and remove the gauge panel

Jim,

I would just check the wiring going to the sensor on the washer fluid bottle. There could be a loose wire. Once the wire is checked. The only other option is to change out the washer bottle . The sensor is not sold seperately.
