I have a 2000 f250 5.4 112000 miles runs good other than cutting out when accelerating set the cruise on whatever speed and it is fine intill you hit a hill and need to speed up and it cuts out . I have had no engine light. I changed the fuel filter ran some cleaner thru the gas and changed the plugs[which looked good] ancleaned and greased the boots and coils 3 of the coils had green tarnish on the prong and 1 looked possibly wet not sure if wet or grease. Is it safe to clean the m.a.f. have heard diffferent opinions, I didnt check the fuel pump because it is fine when you kick it down hard but cuts out when you accelerate lightly. Appreciate any help, shoul I go ahead and drive it or park it?

Check the exhaust compression. Remove the O2 sensors before the cataylic converts and see if it improves. If it does that means your cats are cloged and need to be replaced.

Hesitation where car felt like it bucked, check engine light went on

Go to an Autozone or Advanced Auto and have them read the code for free. The problem can be anywhere until you know the codes.

2006 pt crusier the check engine light comes on then the car bucs and hesitate when accelerating

THe engine light is an indicator that the computer has found sensor/s out of parameters during it's continuous system checking. It is telling you to have the codes read and replace the faulty unit. By what you say the failing sensor is causing your problem

ENGINE HESITATES WHILE ACCELERATION

LOSS OF ACCELERATION

It can be fuel pressure issue or it's the problem with accelerator pedal or its clogged filters causing there.

Even though there is no check engine light I would still take it to Auto Zone to see if there are any stored codes.

Check engine light comes on and car idle's and drives with a shudder around 2500 rpms. First time check engine light came on put it on computer and said it was misfiring, so changed plugs and plug wires...

I found this; if it helps.
The injectors need to be cleaned, if an engine is experiencing any of the classic symptoms of dirty injectors, such as lean misfire, rough idle, hesitation and stumbling on light acceleration, a loss of power, and higher hydrocarbon (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions.
Lean misfire may also trigger a misfire code and turn on the Check Engine light on 1996 and newer vehicles with OBD II systems. The code often will be a P0300 random misfire code, or you may find one or more misfire codes for individual cylinders, depending on which injectors are most affected.

Hope this helps

1998 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L: Car hesitates at idle and low speeds.

Your vehicle’s computer system has self-testing capability. When the computer senses that there is a problem with one of the components or sensors it stores the correspondent trouble code(s) in its memory and lights up the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light to tell you that there is a problem and you need to diagnosed and repaired it. First step is to find out what the codes are that turned on the light. I would guess it is going to be a misfire code. And the head gasket leak, in the corner of the head on the side near the transmission? Common problem with the 2.2L and could be related to the poor idle. I would have the head gasket leak repair very soon before it creates more problems. Let me know if you need any other help.
