I have a 2000 f250 5.4 112000 miles runs good other than cutting out when accelerating set the cruise on whatever speed and it is fine intill you hit a hill and need to speed up and it cuts out . I have had no engine light. I changed the fuel filter ran some cleaner thru the gas and changed the plugs[which looked good] ancleaned and greased the boots and coils 3 of the coils had green tarnish on the prong and 1 looked possibly wet not sure if wet or grease. Is it safe to clean the m.a.f. have heard diffferent opinions, I didnt check the fuel pump because it is fine when you kick it down hard but cuts out when you accelerate lightly. Appreciate any help, shoul I go ahead and drive it or park it?

Check the exhaust compression. Remove the O2 sensors before the cataylic converts and see if it improves. If it does that means your cats are cloged and need to be replaced.

Engine hesitates when at highway speeds and engine is warm. Replaced the fuel injection system and still happening. No check engine light

Even with no check engine light i would have the computer scanned for any codes that may be stored as pending, this sounds like a mifiring due to a bad coil or coil boot that acrs, the other thing that comes to mind is to check the mass air flow sensor, look at the air sensors and clean them if they contain dirt, this will allow extra amounts of air to go by without the computer knowing and this would caus a lean fuel mixture. the other and last thing would be to drive with a scan tool in order to see what the computer and sensors are doing as it looses power on the highway. good luck.

Engine runs fine when started, put it in reverse and it starts to

probably neither. You should do a compression check, and check your transmission fluid for dicoloration and metal shavings.

94 Park Ave Ultra intermittent 'check engine soon light' comes on

It sounds like one of the ignition wires is breaking down or possibly a coil. Get a squirt bottle of water and spray a mist on the plug wires and coil to see if a spark starts to jump out. Probably just a bad plug wire.

2003 Ford Fous check engine light came on

If you have an Autozone near you, they will scan your car for error codes for free. Try going there and have them scan your car. Once they have the code that is causing the check engine light to come on they can tell you which part the computer is detecting as causing a problem. If you found this solution helpful please rate it.
