Left hand side of the motor near the fire wall closest to the windshield look for a yellow handle it will be short and may be in a difficult location to see put just poke your head in there and look...
if this is a standard tranny there will be no way to check othr than opening up the filler hole on your tranny

use 5-w30 oil make sure to use honda atf z-1 trans fluid or the dw1 honda fluid it will save you alot of problems. Use regular dot3 brake fluid and I recommend using honda power steering fluid.

Transmission is not changing gears. It has started to not move at times, when it gets warm. When it cools down a little it will start to go.


u should check the transmision fluid and if it is dark like syrup instead of more bright red u need to change fluid along with tranmission filter

try pluggin offfff the battery!!! and let it off for 10 minutes. and then`plug it again.

There should be a fill hole on the left side of the trans. you can unscrew and fill with 85-90w fluid.........good luck. You may need a tube to get the fluid in.

the vehicle may have a electrical problem and or mechanical problem in the trans....id try replaceing the solenoids and then the entire transmision and torque converter.

check the color of your fluid if its not a noraml reddish tint then you might need to do a fluid change and run some lucas oil in the transmission with your change also could be one of your solenoids on the transmission getting ready to go out just go to your local autoparts store and let them run a test on it and they might be able to determine what you need to o thru the codes they get from the computer

Automatic transmision D4 light blink


Check the TCU or TCM located passenger side floor area.
when you take it apart it will have bad soilder connection on the left side. It will need to be replaced.
