I think one of your coils are bad. I had the same problem. Each cylinder has its own coil. They cost about $150 each. I hope this helps.

Why does it hesitate when accelerating?

May be some bad gas. Try using some premium gas at your next fill up. Next step would be to replace your fuel filter.

Check engine light blinks

The reason for hesitation of vehicle when accelerating is due to lack of transmission fluid. Check your ride for any leaks and repair them. Filling the transmission tank with fresh fluid after repairing may solve the problem.

I brought it to advance auto for them to check it.Diagnostic said Malfuctioning egr valve. Can this cause the vehicle to idle alittle ruff & Hesitate on acceleration?Any advice would help alot ty.

Absolutely. The EGR controls the air to gas ratio in the sense that recycling unspent gas vapor is a large part of the engine's combustion. If it is faulty, expect hesitation or shuddering. Also, the EGR valve is cheap and easy to install on most vehicles.

Engine hesitation

sounds like unburned fuel in the catylistic converter suddenly burning the fuel as your car picks up speed [causes the rotten egg smell] your hesitation sounds likley to be [tps sensor] throttle position sensor its a variable resistor which is known to breakdown not a difficult repair and can be tested on a multi meter with a bar graph on it yates210456
