I have a 96 acura integra and i would like to know how to install a new tps i already took out my old tps but what are the steps i have to do to install the new one do i have to hold the throttle open before i install the new tps for it to work right. One more thing how come when i try to put the car in gear but the lock is still on lock and it wont let me put it into gear unless i have the key in the thing. Don't know what its called but yea its next to the gear shiffing thing what the problem is it because the tps not install right or its something eles.

Its a auto and the thing i was asking about is call shiff lock even when the car is on and my feet on the brakes it wont let me put the car in no gears with out the key

if you follow your brake pedal up youll see usally a white colored plastic a plunger type switch it looks like a threaded rod thread it until the brake lights go off ,youre trying to push the plunger in,turn it just untill the lights go off,if it does it again its probally skipping on the threads and youll have to replace it

Only 2 thing cause this, worn engagement dogs on the gear pack or worn shifter parts or both, how many miles?

I got same problem when I first got the car (bought used), took me a day to find out one of the fuse blown caused the problem now I always have 10A fuse spare in my glove comparment, check all your fuses (I believe it's an Audio/Clock 10A fuse) will solve your, good luck ...

Assemble the clutch by installing the field coil with a snap ring. Align the clutch field coil with the index pins, then install the clutch spacer to adjust the clutch air cap on the compressor. Install the clutch plate. Place the A/C compressor back into its manifold assembly. Secure the bolts with a socket and ratchet, and place the manifold assembly back into the Integra. Install the serpentine drive belt by following the diagram located on the underside of the Integra's hood. Ensure the belt runs flat and smoothly amongst the pulley system. I need to get a 50 A block fuse for my '96 integra GS-R, but I can't locate a carrier online or locally. Locally only carries the ones with the longer brackets..mine requires the shorter brackets to fit.

Does locally include the Acura Dealers Parts Counter ???

Please don't use #39 no one here knows what that is,

What is the torque pattern for the head on a 96 acura integra gsr i already kno what ft. lbs they all are i just need to kno what pattern to torque them in

all cylinder heads are the same start at the middle then work outwards like        11.9.3.1.6.8.14.                            13.7.5.2.4.10.12.start with 1/2 torque then 3/4 then full torque.then recheck ALL BOLTS after 250 miles.
