Question about 2004 Honda Odyssey
We have a 2005 Honda Odyssey with a DVD player. My kids are too little to use the headphones that came with the van (my 4th child will be born in May and the oldest will turn 5 a few weeks later)...their heads aren't that big. We have never been able to get the setting that sends the sound through a radio signal to work. I purchased some inexpensive speakers that are meant to plug into the headphone jack of an iPod, and they work, but every time we go around a corner, they fly everywhere. Plus, my kids in the back of the van can't hear very well, andthey're the ones that really want to listen. I don't mind listening to Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty for 8 hours...it's better than listening to static or screaming children.
You can also buy inexpensive Infrared (IR) headphones for your Honda Odyssey from many sources including eBay, Amazon.com or http://www.audiovideo2go.com . Your dealer also has replacements that can be purchased directly from Honda. There are actually headphones that are lighter and smaller that will better fit smaller children.

You can set the sound to play through the car's speakers. If you don't want it too loud in front, you can use the audio setting for the fader to just play in the rear.
