........You need to take the the unprogrammed key, and the vehicle, to a Toyota dealership. They have an electronic tool that teaches the key the program specific to your vehicle. There is no other way to do it. I provide the reprogramming procedure for free, as a courtesy to our customers.

I have a 2004 Cadilac CTS we bought a replacement chip key which the Chev Olds dealer could not program I took the new key to a Cadilac dealer they told me the key is defective now the Chev dealer has...

Okay, to program a key you will need two keys that are already programmed, insert one key ignition turned on and engine off, remove the key and within 10 sec insert the second key and turn ignition on with engine off, remove that key and within 10 sec insert the key to be programed. you will need to do a 30 min.relearn with only one key,you will turn ignition on with engine off and wait about 10 min until light goes out then remove the key and repeat this step when light goes out repeat step one more time then use key to start car, computer has learned all info. you will now turn off engine, insert programmed key turn key on engine off then remove the key and insert key to be programed within 10 sec.all done good day.

Lost only key to 2004 Taurus SE. Call dealership? Cost?

Your ford dealer can cut you a new key with the serial #. You might have to get the key programmed if it has a chip in it. Cost key $30.00, programming 1 hour labour. Hope this helps.

I have a 2004 ford focus that has a chip in the ignition key. the key cylinder on the column is bad and needs to be replaced. it can be bought at local parts store but can i program it or does the dealer...

The new ignition key cylinder will only need programming if it comes assembled with a key. If the cylinder comes in a kit (type that ford dealer sells) that lets you build the cylinder to match your key, then no programming is needed.
I hope this helps you

2005 toyota sequia

by what your saying the key that you are using has a chip in side of it some times if the key goes near a magnet it will kill the program in the key. if you have a spare key try that key. if you don't what you might have to do is bring your car and key to the dealer to have them programed. but that red key on the dash board is telling you that sercurity has been turned on so that no one can steal it with out that key that you have. try that good luck

your ignition will only recognise the original key because of its resistance. you need to order a new key from the manufacturer.
