Transfer case making roaring rattling sound

Took 2005 chevy 2500 HD truck to dealer and they said i need a new transfer case. I was getting a roaring sound and now a slight rattling sound has also occurred. No leaks have been found but makes noise when gas pedal is pushed but not when you let off the gas.

It's possible you might need to just change the trans case fluid.... it's a pretty simple task, i usually do all the small minor work first before i take it to a dealer to fix.... if they said you need a new trans case, but didn't tell you why, more than likely there might be something you could do yourself to make it better... those service men have been working around vehicles long enough, they should be able to tell you exactly what's wrong!
i would also do a tranny fluid change to... some of the noise could be coming from there too -- when you change either fluid, add a little lucas transmission fluid stabilizer, it helps alot with seals and makes the fluid stick to the gears better...

When driving mainly when you let off the accelerator it makes a deep roaring sound and turning to the left causes severe vibration in the steering wheel.

Rear differential fluid deterioration causes a moan/vibration noise when turning left or right. Try flushing the rear diff with honda dual pump fluid and see what happens. As far as the roaring sound on deceleration this could be in the Transmision or Transfer case. I would go to your local Honda dealer and have a qualified technician go on a test drive with you. Some noises can be difficult to diagnose.

Truck wont go in gear

sounds like the cluth is slipping. i had it happen when the rear main went out of my pickup. your pickup should still drive even if the transfer case took a dump. i had one blow apart on me at 75 on the highway and still managed to limp it home with half the case missing.

2005 nissan murano sl, with rattling sound when accelerating

I recently experienced the same symptom with my '05 Murano and it was not a fuel problem. The dealer listed the cause as dry axle splines and replaced both front drive shaft assy's. Note that this was done as warranty with no cost incurred by me.
