Did they chg. the resister when this was done? if not, than thats your problem. heater blower motor resister controls speed of blower. most of the time before it goes out completely it will only run on a couple of speeds or maybe just one speed, but eventuly quit compleatly. sometimes the plug for the resister burns and that has to be chg. too. if you still got your recept from this job i would see if its got a breakdown of what they got listed as far as parts they replaced. if this was done at a dealership i'll bet the 411.00 was just for replacing the heater motor.

You need to check the crank sensor, this controls tthe injector pulse. If it will attempt to start with alternate fuel but not on its own, it sounds like the injectors arent pulsing, so your not getting fuel. Try the crank sensor first.

Yes the resistor is going to be hot to the touch, unless you run the blower on high which bypass the resistors to give the blowers a full 12 volts. You could try replacing the wire block and harness just to make sure there is no short in the system that is bleeding off and grounding.
Good luck and hope this helps.

No heat in front but back heat is working

could be a blower motor resistor or a faulty blower motor. if no air is coming out of the vents when you turn the switch to on there is a fault in the electrical system somewhere. the rear blower system is pretty much totally separate from the front so therefor rear hvac is working properly. test blower motor resistor and blower motor current and see if its putting out any power also make sure the wires going to the blower motor are hot also.

Defroster & floor blowers don't work but front facing vents do

There are what they call mode door's these days they have a electrical motor that turnes the door to different posistions...sounds like yours is become broken. It would depend on your expertise in the ac & heating system area to replace the part. Sometimes easy and most of the times the dash has to be removed.
