Question about 2004 Volkswagen Golf

1 Answer

Squeeky car!!! Over the past few weeks my SEAT IBIZA 1.2 2004 3dr has began to squeek quite badly when driving. The problem comes and goes and is usually minimal if non existant in the morning when first driven but gets worse during the day. It seems to be something to do with the suspension is its while a drive over bumps and when the car shunts forward when exerting the breaks. Any ideas what the problem is and how to rectify it????? There is no choice on the list so I just put in a VW as it is techniquely a VW engine!

i have a 1.2 ibiza se from 2003 and have the same problem which started a few weeks ago. I even resorted to getting out of the car and getting my husband to drive it over some big bumps, could not hear thesqeaking outside but am at a loss as to what the problem is as surely if this is a suspension problem I would hear it outside as well as inside the car

it is worth checking the rear seat mounting brackets and fixings.
Earlier models suffered with a similar problem and the noise sounded like a rear suspension problem.

Hope this helps.

Seat Ibiza 2006 car keeps cutting out whilst driving what is the cause of this

Could be so many things need more info. When it cuts out, does it act as if it's running out of fuel-- sputtering, or just dead on/off? If the latter, I would suspect bad ignition module, coil, crank/cam sensor. If the former, could be fuel pump, relay, filter. These intermittent problems can be tricky.

I have squeeking noise coming from the turbo area on 6.6 duamax around 2000rpm and on shutdown...intamitantly

Sounds like a turbo bearing problem. They start off intermittent or at specific RPM's, then get worse with time.

Hi Robtatt.
I have same problem with my seat ibiza for the past 6/7 months, spent over £300 on trying to sort it out and got no-where. I think i have now finally sorted it. Try un plugging the lambda sensor from the exhaust just behind the engine. If like mine it works fine but the sensor will have to be replaced. Good luck hope this works for you.
