Can someone pls tell me the location of the purge valve in 2002 Chevrolet Blazer

    Yes, thanks for that. We've had the P0440 code come up so we're working our way through the list of errors that may be causing it. Its just a bit hard when no one has even seen a Blazer here in Australia before.



    Our next drama is the aircon keeps dropping out, blows freezing cold, then it drops out. Fan still goin, just not cool. Had gas checked today & that was all good, seems to be electrical..... is this normal for a 2002 truck?

If you are talking about the EVAP valve , it is located on the top of your fuel tank.

    Sounds like the clutch on the compressor is cutting out. Turn on the A/C and check to see if the clutch is turning. If not unplug the clutch at the compressor and jump it one side ground and the other positive, you can do this also by finding the relay and jumping the circuit to command the clutch to turn on. If it does not engage replace it.

Depends on the year, if its a 2002 or newer, it is located on the intake manifold. dead center, if you are fighting an evap code, the most common failure is the purge cannister vent valve, located underneth the vehicle, there is an updated kit.

Where is the evap canister located on a 1997 chevy s10 blazer


The canaster it self is located on the drivers side rear of the wheel near the bumper has three hoses connecting to it 1 goes to the rollover valve on the fuell tank 1 to the canister vent solenoid on the member over the spare tire and the other 1 to the canister purge solenoid located on the mid left side of the intake manifold . What codes do you get ?

The Purge solenoid is located between the ICM (ignition control module) and the distributor on the plastic upper intake plenum.

2002 chevy blazer codes 443 449 i replaced the maf sensor the vaf sensor on air horn the emmision valve on the engine the vent valve to even tried the gas cap clear codes drove the truck guess what codes...


p0443 is evaporative emission control system, purge control curcuit malfunction, p0449 is emission control system, vent control curcuit malfunction. p0449 is often a filler cap problem on fuel tank. try tightening cap

Were is the evap located on 2001 Chevy s-10 blazer with v6


The EVAP service port is located in the EVAP purge pipe between the EVAP purge solenoid and the EVAP canister. The service port is identified by a green colored cap.

Po128,po155,po171,po300 These are the things that faile on my 2002 chevy blazer when I took it to the Maryland state emmissions test. Do you know what they are?


P0128 (Coolant thermostat-coolant temp below thermostat regulating temperature) Possible cause-Mechanical fault

P0155 (Heated oxygen sensor (H)2S)1, bank 2,-circuit malfunction) Possible cause Wiring, H02S, ECM

P0171 (System to lean, ban 1) possible cause intake blocked, EVAP canister purge valve, fuel pressure, EGR system, injector(s), H02S

P0300 (Random/multiple cylinder(s)-misfire detected) Possible causes Spark plug(s), HT lead(s), injector(s), ignition coil(s), low compression, or wiring.
