Question about 1990 Toyota Camry
Coming to a stop at a light and i go to press the gas the car will stall out on me. It also revs it self as if I pressing the gas. Most of the time after it stalls and I turn it back on it wont it will act like it wants to but just keeps puttering. I am at a loss and really dont want to get rid of the car because i feel it has a lot more life in it. Anyone have any answers? I have 2 little ones and I cant even have them in the car with me because it likes to stall in the middle of an intersection.
There should be a large rubber tube that connects the throttle body to the air filter box...check the tube - take it off and flex it around. look for any cracks in it. if there are any, you can patch them temporarily with rubber cement and electrical tape. You really should replace it. only the toyota dealer can get it. it is called the Air Horn in the parts computer.
