Can you tell me how & where the can sensor is located?

    can anyone tell me the proper names for the cam sensor and the sync signal generator,so i can look these parts up online. also do i need to pull the distributer to access these?

The cam sensor is in the distributor,attached to the plate and is also joined buy the sync signal generator. the crankshaft sensor is in the bell housing of the transmission on the driver side upper corner of the head. they both work together to make fire and fuel.

If you do not know where O2 Sensors are ,I suggest
you let a repair shop test the ones you have,before you
throw parts at it.

No OBD Codes tell you to replace anything

Look on the exhaust pipe before or in the converter
inlet, for the upstream sensor & in the converter
outlet, for the down stream or monitor sensor

Where is the crank position sensor located on a 96 jeep cherokee sport

Sensor is at the 11 o'clock position on the bellhousing even with the flywheel (looking from the rear) on the drivers side. The harness connector is near the master cylinder.
(no fun to get to)

No fire to coil from coil on 96 model Jeep Grand Cherokee.

You need to put the harmonic balance for the 96 jeep on this motor,then put the crankshaft sensor on for the 96 jeep on the vehicle,this should fix you up.The crankshaft sensor and the harmonic balance have to go together.If I can be further help,let me know.>>

have the crank sensor replaced this controls the spark and injector pulse it is located on the drivers back side of the engine above the transmission housing!

the sensor is located right above the oil filter, careful they crack very easily...but are really easy to replace...
