Question about 1997 Nissan Pickup
I have 1997 nissan pickup, 4cyl. 2.4 eng.(5speed mt) with a code P0400. replaced egr valve and cleaned old carbon from line & tubing. truck ran great for 1 day,no hesitation, then eng. light came back on, same code P0400 and now a little slugggish. now i've noticed that there is no vacuum in any lines to or from egr valve. have vacuum in other lines near tb just not egr. any thoughts...? thanks
There is an EGR vacuum solenoid somwhere that controls on/off vacuum to actuate the valve. i am not to sure of the location, but follow the vacuum line back from the egr until you find a device that looks like an electrical check valve for vacuum. that is a possibilty. but then again i am a ford, chrysler guy and am just giving you an answer based on my understanding of the functuality of a vacuum egr system
