As with other Honda Accords I have had in the past, the headlight replacement process seems to require 6 hours and taking off cowls and grills and if you an unlucky schmuck like, driver side light outage has to deal with the battery in the way as well.

    1) The person who made this harder than putting a man in space should be drawn and quartered.

    2) Is there a way to do this without having to disassemble the entire front left side of the car?

This is crazy. My Dad thought I was absolutely insane when I told him I was trying to remove a panel from above my front replace a low beam headlight.....and after starting it...I thought I must be insane as well. It says to pop off the plastic fasteners with a flat screwdriver...and by pop....they apparently mean BREAK off.

Anyhow, the next day I called the dealer and was told it takes "6/10ths of an hour to install" and they charge $56.00 + the cost the of the bulb. I already bought a bulb so I just went in and bough a bunch of the plastic fasteners for $1.49/piece and I am determined to do this myself tonight.

If the car has "daytime running lights", you'll need a new DRL module. These were a very common problem. They had bad solder joints inside that can cause all kinds of intermittent problems with the lights. It is located up under the dash on the drivers' side.

How do you replace the drivers side window switch on a 2005 honda accord

Welcome to Fixya

Take off the door panel carefully and you'll see where the wires run for the switch. With the door panel off you'll just need a Phillips Screwdriver to take out the switch.

Thank you for using Fixya!

Passenger front side door 05 honda accord does not

yes the actuator is specific to each door. You can replace it yourself. Just be easy when pulling things off as not to crack plastics . Both of my 03 Accord actuators are out as well.

Help changing dome light bulbs in 2005 Accord

This is a real pain, took me forever to find mine... there is a little TINY slot that you can fit a VERY small flat head screwdriver in to pop it off.

Dont worry, the plastic is durable, just try to use a precision screwdriver if you have one and basically pry it open. it really will just Pop off once you get in there

Brake Light Control Module

91 Honda Accord has 2 separate tail lights on each side(total of 4 pieces). My problem stemmed from a faulty control module on the right hand side(passenger side). The module in question is located inside the smaller of the 2 tail light sections. In order to change the module you have to remove the tail light. There are 4 nuts holding in the taillight section and 2 phillips head screws holding the module in. The module on this side is 6 pin plug in. The one on the drivers side is a 5 pin plug in. Whole effort takes about 45 minutes. It is strictly plug and play.

2005 Honda Accord headlight replacement.

For the driver's side headlight, yes, the battery must be removed to change the headlight. There are three screws but they don't have to be removed, just loosened enough to where the bulb can rotate ninety degrees to pull out. Be prepared to reenter the radio code as disconnecting the battery will cause the radio to electronically lock out. The radio code can be found on the security card or inside the user's manual if you're lucky.
