Simple! Your motor will Overheat and Stop causing you to have to get it Rebuilt. If you Follow the Top Radiator Hose to the Block there is a Bell Housing that the Hose Connects to. Remove the Hose and the Bell housing. Thermostat is Under the Bell housing, Looks kinda like a U.F.O.! LOL

Idle rpm 01 impala 3.8

What is the problem with the rpm on your 2001 chevy implala with 3.8?

i can tell you that these engines have problems with the fuel pressure regulator leaking internally and externally the problem would cause the engine to run rich and will affect the idle, but again let me know what is going on with the idle. good day.

If you have done this already, then bleed the cooling system, this is all you lack, just get the air out of the system, two bleed ports, one on the thermostat housing, and one on the engine near the water pump, just bleed them out as the car warms up,the thermostat bleeder last,if this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

Message light on - showing picture of oil can and tool underneath - checked oil dip stick - enough oil on stick. I have a 2004 Chevy Impala. The repair guy installed a used (2001) cluster panel. I am not...

Most likely, it is a service light. It is telling you to change your oil. It does this on a regular interval, not because it needs it.
You should be able to turn off the light by using a code reader. Select erase codes.

On a 2006 chevy impala it tells you to tighten the gas cap ,then when you do, we shut the car off. Then check engine light comes on. Where is the sensor located.

There is no sensor for a loose gas cap. What is happening is that the evaporative emission system is sensing a "Large Leak". Usually code p0455. The computer sees this as the most probable cause is a loose gas cap depending on several factors it looks at. You would need to clear the code(s) and see if that was the problem. If the light comes back on, then you have a problem in the system that will not let it seal. Possible solenoid problem, leaking hose / line, etc.
