If the throttle position sensor is bad, you should get a check engine light when the engine is running.
I would check fuel pressure with a gauge at the rail to see if the pump is failing.

Tahnk you for your advice looks like my fuel pump when i checked pressure the highest psi it reached was 40 but would that make my check engine light come on as well as lean/hot codes from both downstream and upstream o2 sensors also with the pump being bad can that create a loss of vacum

Do you know what normal pressure is for your model and engine? Low pressure won't turn on the warning light, but low pressure could cause a lean mixture which would alert the O2 sensors and that would set trouble codes and turn on the light. Low pressure would not cause low vac but a lean mixture could. And the lean mixture could be caused by low pressure. Low pressure can also be a faulty pressure regulator or dirty filter which you said you replaced.

If it is fuel injected it will get enough fuel to start but not stay running. I had the same problem with my S10. Turns out the hose that went on to the end of the fuel pump was roted. pull the sending unit and check the hose connections to the pump and the sending unit. If problem presists replace filter first the pump.

have you tried checking the map sensor this can sometimes cause the engine to run oddly. also check for good spark check wires when its pitch black out check for wire arching. also check fuel pressure with a pressure guage.make sure cap and rotor are clean of deposits. keep searching and you will find the weak link.

Replace spark plug wires and plugs. Sometimes old wires will arc to the engine block, causing missfire. Check the wires at night with lights off and engine running, if they're bad, you'll defenitely see them arcing to the engine. if they are...replace.

Out of the blue . truck looses power and wants to die. not letting it die by hitting gas peddle it runs but starts back firering supper bad. truck dies .starting up it doesnt want to put . made it home .....

if you have replaced cap and rotor plus coil and it seemed to fire up then i would take the next step. For sure put your new plugs and wires on then make sure you have replaced your air filter, and change out your fuel filter, fire up the vehicle if it doesn't start I would suggest changing the fuel pump. If it starts up make sure you put in some BK fuel injector cleaner in your fuel it might be you have dirty injectors. If all fails then get back with me and we will look else where. Good luck hope this info helps you out

It's hard to figure out whats going on with out any codes. Im thinking maybe the fuel pump. To check it after it stops and doe'snt start squirt some starting fluid into the carb and see if it wants to start. If it trys to start then it's a fuel problem.

you need to have the fuel pressure at the fuel rail checked. Sounds like a bad fuel pump.
