Yeha, I called the dealership, and although I did not talk with the parts department (I chose Service), it sounds like they'll certianly have the key code and will be able to do it for $12-$14. Thank you.

Well its an older car but if you take you're title card to the dealer along with the vin # they can cut you keys Its a 50/50 chance if they work or not because it possible that the lock clynder has been changed

Lost keys for ignition

hello, you need to seek your local vehicle locksmith, who will cut and reprogram the new key to your vehicle,or the other choice may be transporting your vehicle to the main dealership, and instruct them to carry out all necessary work,(ordering replacements from the main suppliers, and then re coding to your vehicle) though the 2nd choice may well end up quite expensive, but do ring around for the best quote .hope that helps, cheers.

I lost my ignition there some way i can get a duplicate made through a product code or something without buying a new switch with keys or finding an expensive locksmith

Sorry, I think in this case a locksmith is the only way you are going to get out of this jam. You are going to have to call one in this situation. The only other thing I can think of is asking the dealership you got it from for another possible solution. I hope this helps! Please rate 4 thumbs up!

Not what you want to hear but the dealership will cut a nwe one with proof of ownership....registration and license to match. otherwise, you may be able to call in a locksmith who may be able to at least get you in the vehicle...maybe even cut a key...good luck

Lost only key to 2004 Taurus SE. Call dealership? Cost?

Your ford dealer can cut you a new key with the serial #. You might have to get the key programmed if it has a chip in it. Cost key $30.00, programming 1 hour labour. Hope this helps.

Lost keys how to replace them what do I need to do can a locksmith do it or does the dealership have a code to replace them

You can go through either the dealership or a locksmith. Usually the dealership will be more expensive, and the locksmith will come to you a lot of times, but that can get spendy, too. If you can get the door open, the cheapest way to do it would be to take the actual lock out of the door and bring it in to the locksmith. I know that this way costs around 15 bucks.

I have a 98 ford contour and lost the ignition key. how would i replace the lock?

Go to any Ford dealership with your VIN #, and proof of ownership, and they can cut you a key. A good locksmith can do the same.

Lost keys

Take you ID, and your title or registration to your local ford dealer; they will cut you set of keys. It will cost you about $100.00 for the set, but a locksmith won't do it any cheaper for you either.
