Question about 1995 Chevrolet Astro
My van would not start after driving to the store. The battery is strong but it has been extremely cold the past few days. I have added gas line antifreeze but it still refuses to start. It acts like it's not getting fuel What else should I try?
Check your gas tank to holes...sniff test? Or fill it to the max and it will leak if there's a hole. There could be a hole in the gas tank that allows moisture to get in.
Change your fuel filter locate underneath the van on the left side. If that doesn't work, try cleaning your egr valve...it might be sticky due to the carbon buildup.
If it doesn't start, try changing out the spark plug wires, distributor cap and the rotating tip (should come with the distributor cap).
The problem is often a simple one.

Chk. fuse and relay for fuel punp. if that chks. out ok, then you will have to do a fuel pressure test. but after reading your problem, i'am almost positive its your fuel pump. make sure, do the fuel pressure test. all major auto parts stores carry the kit for pressure test, and they also will show you wear and how to hook it up, and what the pressure it should have. good luck.
