Question about 1991 Ford Explorer
If you have no external leaks under vehicle. at the wheels or any lines, your master cylinder may be leaking internally.
usually an o ring on the plunger cracks, when you depress pedal it allows air into lines from master cylinder.
take off and go to local auto zone they should be able to bench check it.
also check for wetness at each wheel. from leaking calipiers, or wheel cylinders
