SOURCE: ATS(Air temp sensor) CTS( Coolant temp sensor)

I have a 351 but they are common sensors and should be located same places. ATC is on the side or bottom of the air intake filter box. The CTS should be located on the goose-neck where your Thermostat is housed; this is comming off the intake mannafold and into the radiator.

It is on the Driver side of engine in between the COP's (Coil on plugs) simply unplug the wire use a 19 or 3/4 deep well socket and unscrew it and put it new one... The whole process should only take 10-15 minutes.

If the temp gauge is reading 160 when the engine is warmed up, the problem could be air in the cooling system, a faulty sending unit, or gauge.

The 6VE1 engines coolant temp sensor is in the cross over housing on right hand front section of head just under throttle body (ECU). From memory the 6VD1 (older) engine is in similar position. Coolant senser bad were is it on the engine its not on the radiator

If you are getting a coolant sensor message on the VIC (screen above the shifter), then the sensor for that is located in the coolant overflow tank. Sometimes it is a problem with the sensor, other times it is bad soldering and/or a bad VIC.

The temp sensor is located in the thermostat housing (center/front of engine just above belt.

Coolant censor bad

Yes, there is another one. The one you replaced is the coolant level sensor. The ECT (ENGINE COOLANT TEMP) sensor is located near the thermostat housing. It has a 2 pin plug on it.
