I need to replace the heater blower in a 1993 BMW 325I

How do I get at and replace the blower motor in my 1993 325i?

    A microsoft office file would be great. What do I need to do to get it from you?

The blower motor will be under the hood on the passemger side on the firwall there should be three screws that hold it in place

It's unkiely that all the door actuators are bad. The problem sounds like a voltage loss to the circuit. Check the fuses for the door locks.

on older models you have to detach the firewall plate within the engine compartment to reach the blower motor. That's where I would start looking on the '95 model too.

Its usually directly on the speed selector know or mounted to the heater plenum behind the glove box (this is the prinicple for american cars sonot sure if foreign makers follow the same principle) its about 2"x2". Very small and looks like a microchip with a circuit and wiring in it...

Latch under the hood, Drivers side of the BMW emblem. Lift it up and voila!

Richard, a 93 BMW 325i has timing chain and not a belt. Unless it has been absolutely neglected in terms of oil changes, the chain should last 2-300k miles

2002 BMW 325I BLOWER REPLACMENT


The motor is replaced from under the hood, you have to remove the cabin ai filter housing. It is can be a hard job. Most dealerships will charge 3 hours labor to do it.
