Question about 1995 Dodge Avenger
Easy my friend. Pull out the back seat, and remove the square plate on the passenger side. After you pull back the plate, you will see a round plate that needs to be removed. The fuel pump is attached to the bottom side of this plate. No need to remove tank.

North48813's answer is WRONG. Of course it is now 7 years old but the fuel pump is not where he states. What is there is the gas gauge sending unit. The fuel pump is above the tank and you DO have to drop the tank in order to replace the fuel pump.
