Re: 1994 Chevy s-10 4.3 Vortec-
You have probably and inadvertantly knocked a vacuum line off. A large vacuum leak will cause a start and die situation.
Check around for a hose and plug it back in.. Hpe this helps. Thanks and rate me high please.

I hope yo are talking about a car AC compressor the compressor stops and restarts is that the freon is low , this is the only thing that will do that , put some freon it it and it should work , that is the only thing that I know that a compressor that is on any car , unless you have air bags
I have 94 s 10..4.3 v6. it does the same thing have replaced fuel pump and filter, ignition module, cap rotor plugs wires, coil, ground strap...driving down the road jus dies like the key got shut off....for a while when troubleshooting through the parts you could get it to restart.....now when it dies it cranks really hard when trying to restart..ive checked the timeing its fine....if i wait a few min it will usually start...sometimes it will show a check engine light sometimes not......never know when it will happen sometimes jus down the the road from the house sometimes 100miles down the road......sometimes three times in a mile sometimes not for weeks at a time..Wtf...Im ready to shoot it like a lame horse....its a shame too its a sharp lil truck thats a two owner and never spent a night outside in its life...i knew the original owner ...i bought it with 90,000 on it it only has 148,000 now and still looks like new...
Check the wireing to the pump they had problems with it it tended to over heat and corroad there is a service bulliton on the prroblem #25215705and a kit with new wires and connector to resist over heating Icould give you the kit # but i got a DELPHI pump and the connector dosn;t fit a chevy pump
I bet your problem is one of these two things.
1: your timing is out. Making it run at such a low idle that it stalls itself out.
2: your truck is running too rich and flooding itself out. Just adjust theb
timing a bit and lean the motor out a bit and you should be as good as new!
Hope this helps!
